Guided tour of the Raphaël exhibition at the Beaux-Arts in Lille

Lille's Palais des Beaux-Arts reveals for the first time its entire priceless Raphael collection: 43 original graphic works, including 37 drawings by the great Italian master (1483-1520).

On November 29, 2024, students from the Alliance Française de Lille Métropole visited the Raphael exhibition at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Lille, dedicated to the drafts and sketches of the Renaissance artist. This unique exhibition allowed participants to discover Raphael's preparatory sketches and studies, offering a fascinating insight into his creative process.

Accompanied by a guide, the students explored the evolution of the artist's ideas through his sketches, sometimes unfinished, and shared their impressions in French during the guided tour.

This outing was a great opportunity for the students to immerse themselves in art while reinforcing their language skills and their connection with French culture.
