Tidy up your room" exhibition at Gare Saint Sauveur

Students from the Alliance Française de Lille Métropole enjoyed their visit to the Gare Saint Sauveur for the "Range ta Chambre" exhibition. The dynamic atmosphere of this unique cultural venue intrigued our many students.

The group explored the vast spaces of the Gare Saint Sauveur, transformed into an ephemeral art gallery where each piece on display was an invitation to plunge into the intimacy of Jean-François Fourtou. "Inthis exhibition, Jean-François Fourtou presents his first childhood bedroom, which he occupied until the age of 4, in the family apartment in the heart of the old working-class district of Paris: Ménilmontant. The artist invites visitors to return to the magical world of childhood, to lose their adult bearings for a time in a monumental children's bedroom, six times as large and untidy, emerging incongruously and spectacularly from the concrete skeleton of the Gare!" explains the lille3000 website.

Guided by their curiosity and passion for the French language, the students strolled through the exhibition, stopping in front of each work to listen attentively to the guide.

After exploring the exhibition, the group met in the station's convivial "Bistrot de St So" for a coffee or a drink.

The afternoon not only enriched the students' artistic understanding, but also enabled students from different groups and levels to meet each other. The Gare Saint Sauveur, with its unique blend of history and contemporary creativity, provided an ideal setting for this cultural exploration.
